Seattle, WA | Washington Bar Required | Associate through Partner Level

We’re partnering with an established national defense litigation firm seeking a Washington-licensed Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing and ambitious Seattle practice..

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 3-10+ years of litigation or insurance defense experience who is looking for meaningful case ownership, flexibility, and long-term growth within a national platform.

The Role

The attorney will manage a caseload of civil litigation and insurance defense matters from inception through resolution. The firm is open to attorneys from a range of litigation backgrounds, including general liability, personal injury defense, premises liability, professional liability, construction litigation, medical malpractice/healthcare defense, automobile liability, and broader civil defense litigation.

Responsibilities will include:

· Managing matters throughout the litigation lifecycle

· Developing case strategy and handling client reporting

· Drafting pleadings, motions, and dispositive motions

· Managing written discovery

· Taking and defending fact and expert depositions

· Attending hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances

· Supporting trial preparation and handling matters through resolution

The Ideal Candidate

· Active Washington Bar admission required

· 3+ years of litigation experience, ideally within insurance defense or general liability

· Experience with depositions, discovery, motion practice, and court appearances

· Ability to independently manage an active litigation caseload

· Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and client communication skills

The firm is also open to Senior Associate, Counsel, Of Counsel, and Partner-level attorneys interested in helping grow the Seattle practice. A portable book of business is welcomed at the senior level but is not required for associate candidates.
