Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a well-established industrial manufacturing company in Little Rock, AR to identify an experienced Corporate Controller to join its leadership team.
This role will oversee accounting and financial reporting across three manufacturing locations, including leadership of site Accounting Managers and consolidation of financial results. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing accounting experience along with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and financial analysis expertise.
This position is also part of the company's long-term succession plan to the CFO role, offering the opportunity to grow into broader financial leadership over time.
What You Will Do:
- Lead accounting and financial reporting activities across three manufacturing locations, including consolidation of site-level financial results
- Provide leadership and oversight to Accounting Managers responsible for the financial activities of each location
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely consolidated financial statements and management reporting in accordance with GAAP
- Oversee cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, manufacturing variance analysis, and related controls
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking
- Lead the annual budgeting process and develop financial forecasts and projections to support business planning
- Analyze financial performance, production costs, margins, expenses, variances, and key metrics to identify opportunities to improve profitability
- Partner closely with operations, supply chain, site leadership, and executive leadership to support financial performance and business decisions
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies, and consistent financial processes across all locations
- Manage cash flow, treasury activities, banking relationships, and overall liquidity
- Support audit readiness, tax requirements, regulatory compliance, and other financial requirements of the organization
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team
- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, reporting, processes, and overall efficiency
- Provide financial insight and strategic guidance to executive leadership as the company continues to grow
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including experience in a Controller, Director of Accounting/Finance, or similar leadership role
- CPA or CMA preferred
- Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment required; multi-site financial oversight strongly preferred
- Strong manufacturing accounting experience, including cost accounting, standard costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and fixed assets
- Strong knowledge of GAAP with significant experience in financial reporting and financial statement analysis
- Experience with consolidated financial reporting across multiple locations or business units
- Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and P&L analysis
- Proven experience leading and developing accounting and finance professionals
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems, internal controls, and financial process improvement
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong business acumen, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to be both strategic and hands-on and partner effectively across the organization
