Construction Project Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to manage structural steel and bridge projects from sale/bid through fabrication, shipping, and installation.
This is a construction-focused project management role. The ideal candidate will have approximately 10 years of project management experience, preferably in civil construction, heavy construction, or structural steel construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary customer contact after project award.
- Manage projects from initial sale through fabrication, shipment, and installation.
- Review project specifications and ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated internally.
- Coordinate procurement of custom structural steel and project materials.
- Work closely with fabrication teams to track production, schedules, and quality.
- Identify and communicate project delays, issues, and potential risks.
- Coordinate packaging, pre-shipment inspections, and complex transportation logistics.
- Coordinate with field installation and construction crews through project completion.
- Manage multiple internal teams and priorities while maintaining schedule and accuracy.
Ideal Candidate
- Approximately 10 years of project management experience.
- Background in civil construction, heavy construction, or structural steel, strongly preferred.
- Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized.
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
- Comfortable coordinating multiple departments and teams.
- Able to manage complex projects where accuracy and attention to detail are critical.
- Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required.
Work Environment
- Approximately 80% office / 20% shop floor.
- Limited travel, with occasional trips to project sites.
- Projects primarily throughout Utah, California, and Arizona
