Position Summary
JLGOV LLC is seeking an experienced eDiscovery ALS Lab Manager, the ideal candidate will take the lead on high-impact eDiscovery operations supporting the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division.
This is a senior, hands-on technical role focused on eDiscovery processing, RelativityOne administration, Active Learning, analytics, productions, PowerShell automation, and litigation-support operations. The position works closely with DOJ stakeholders, project managers, attorneys, and litigation-support teams on mission-critical work with demanding deadlines for some of the nation's most significant civil rights litigation.
What You'll Do
- Lead and perform eDiscovery data-processing activities for complex litigation matters.
- Process electronically stored information (ESI) in LAW and load processed data into RelativityOne.
- Administer, troubleshoot, and support RelativityOne front-end and back-end functions.
- Create, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Active Learning projects.
- Perform advanced analytics and support document-review workflows.
- Generate and validate load-ready, searchable PDF, native-file, and other litigation productions.
- Develop complex PowerShell scripts to support eDiscovery processing, automation, reporting, and workflow requirements.
- Advise project managers and DOJ stakeholders on ESI specifications and discovery requirements.
- Troubleshoot technical issues affecting processing, analytics, review, and production workflows.
- Develop reports related to collection, filtering, processing, review, and production.
- Train staff on eDiscovery processing, analytics, production procedures, and related technologies.
- Support quality control and timely completion of demanding production requirements.
- Support trial and other legal proceedings as required.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, project managers, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
What You'll Bring
- U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of eDiscovery and litigation-support experience on large or complex matters
- Advanced Relativity experience, including front-end and back-end functions.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Active Learning; including creating, maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing projects.
- Hands on experience processing data in LAW and loading it into Relativity.
- Ability to create complex PowerShell scripts.
- Strong knowledge of EDRM and the litigation-discovery lifecycle.
- Experience managing eDiscovery projects and related technologies.
- Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOJ Public Trust.
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Washington, DC.
Nice to Have
- Relativity or other recognized eDiscovery certification.
- Law degree, technical certification, or related graduate degree.
- Prior DOJ or federal litigation-support experience.
- Experience supporting trials or legal proceedings.
- Experience with additional litigation-support technologies such as CaseMap, TextMap, or comparable platforms.
Work Conditions
The normal schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern.
Extended hours, weekends, or 10–12-hour workdays may be required during trials or major production deadlines.
