The DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport Convention Center is seeking an experienced General Manager to join our team. This position is 100% on-site, no remote work.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Miami Airport Convention Center is conveniently situated just south of Miami International Airport off the Dolphin Expressway adjacent to the Blue Lagoon Business District. The hotel features 334 guestrooms, onsite dining, fitness room, outdoor pool, business center, complimentary High-Speed Internet Access, 24,000 square feet of retail space, 20,000 Square feet of Hotel Meeting and Function Space and a Convention Center with 152,000 square feet of meeting, event and exhibit space.

This position will be an exempt position and will report to the SVP of Hotel Operations.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Miami Airport & Convention Center is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly accomplished General Manager to lead one of South Florida's premier full-service convention hotels. This executive leadership position requires a proven hospitality professional with extensive experience managing large-scale group, convention, banquet, catering, and meeting space operations while delivering exceptional financial and operational results.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Hilton-branded hotels, demonstrated success managing high-volume convention and conference business, expertise in food and beverage operations, and a proven ability to lead large teams in a complex, fast-paced hospitality environment.

This position serves as the senior operational leader of the property and is responsible for maximizing hotel profitability, guest satisfaction, associate engagement, and owner returns while maintaining full compliance with Hilton brand standards.

Position Overview

The General Manager provides strategic oversight and leadership for all hotel operations, including:

The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience managing significant convention and event space, large banquet operations, citywide group business, and complex hotel revenue streams.

Key ResponsibilitiesConvention Center & Group Business Leadership
  • Oversee the operation and profitability of the hotel's extensive convention, meeting, and event facilities.
  • Lead strategies to maximize convention, conference, association, corporate, and social event revenues.
  • Partner with Sales, Catering, and Convention Services teams to drive group business production.
  • Ensure flawless execution of conventions, trade shows, meetings, banquets, and special events.
  • Maintain strong relationships with meeting planners, corporate accounts, associations, and event organizers.
  • Monitor banquet performance, catering profitability, space utilization, and event service delivery.
  • Support the development of innovative strategies to increase convention center utilization and market share.
Operational Leadership
  • Direct all day-to-day hotel operations while ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and mentor department leaders to maximize operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Hilton and DoubleTree brand standards.
  • Drive continuous operational improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain exceptional service standards throughout all departments.
Financial Management
  • Manage annual budgets, forecasts, and capital improvement plans.
  • Achieve established revenue, RevPAR, ADR, GOP, and EBITDA goals.
  • Monitor labor productivity and expense controls.
  • Analyze operating results and implement corrective action plans where needed.
  • Maximize profitability across rooms, food and beverage, catering, and convention operations.
Sales & Revenue Strategy
  • Collaborate with commercial leadership to optimize market share.
  • Participate in revenue management and business planning initiatives.
  • Support strategic sales efforts targeting convention, corporate, government, and association business.
  • Strengthen the property's presence within the Miami hospitality and convention marketplace.
Human Resources Leadership
  • Recruit, develop, retain, and inspire a high-performing leadership team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, recognition, and diversity.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment policies and applicable laws.
  • Provide coaching, succession planning, and career development opportunities.
Guest Experience
  • Champion a guest-first culture throughout the organization.
  • Ensure positive guest satisfaction, reputation management, and service recovery efforts.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Required QualificationsRequired Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of General Manager experience in a full-service hotel environment with over 75,000 Sq. Ft of Meeting Space..
  • Prior Hilton brand experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven success managing large convention, conference, and banquet operations.
  • Experience leading hotels with significant meeting and event space.
  • Strong food and beverage leadership background.
  • Demonstrated success achieving revenue growth and profitability objectives.
  • Experience managing large-scale hotel operations with multiple revenue centers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior General Manager experience within a DoubleTree by Hilton property.
  • Multi-million-dollar budget management experience.
  • Experience with major airport, convention, or conference hotels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
