· Providing companionship and one-on-one social interaction

· Assisting with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and other activities of daily living

· Helping clients with mobility, positioning, transfers, and walking assistance

· Preparing meals and assisting with eating when needed

· Performing light housekeeping to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment

· Providing medication reminders

· Assisting with errands

· Observing and reporting changes in condition

· Providing dependable care by arriving on time, remaining for the scheduled shift, and completing assigned responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 17 years of age

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

  • Must have a reliable vehicle

  • Must be able to accurately document services provided, observations, and other required information

  • Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and safely perform the physical responsibilities associated with assigned caregiving duties

  • Must be comfortable working with individuals with a variety of personalities, needs, abilities, and backgrounds

  • Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be dependable, professional, and able to maintain appropriate boundaries with clients

  • Must maintain client confidentiality and privacy

  • Must be able to follow company policies, safety procedures, and infection-control practices

  • Must be able to recognize and appropriately report changes in a client’s condition, safety concerns, incidents, abuse, neglect, or other concerns

  • Must successfully complete all required orientation, training, and competency requirements
