The Opportunity:
You will serve as a key growth catalyst, driving net-new market expansion for our commercial, multi-family, and hospitality construction divisions. This high-autonomy role gives you the direct ability to create value, establish strategic partnerships, and accelerate your career trajectory. Operating in an entrepreneurial environment, you will shape our regional footprint across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and surrounding markets.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Identify and secure net-new private commercial, multi-family, hospitality, and construction projects valued between $1M and $15M+.
- Bridge communications between clients and internal estimating teams to ensure accurate, highly competitive, and profitable bids.
- Evaluate architectural drawing sets, structural specifications, and site plans to conduct high-level macro valuations during initial client discussions.
- Perform detailed structural risk analyses on proposal requirements to protect the firm from low-margin or high-risk project pursuits.
- Secure early-stage private deal interventions, negotiating Design-Build, CMAR/Cost-Plus GMP, and Fixed-Price project models.
- Manage the formal RFP/RFQ submission process, compiling qualification packages and leading project presentation interviews.
- Leverage an active network of developers, architects, and owners' representatives across a 3-hour driving radius of the DFW area.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years of proven business development or preconstruction sales experience in the commercial construction industry.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Demonstrated success in 100% net-new business development without relying on an existing book of business.
- Strong active network of private developers, commercial architects, brokers, and owners' reps in the DFW metroplex and regional markets.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, structural specs, and formal RFP/RFQ requirements.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% across a ~3-hour driving radius from Dallas-Fort Worth.
- Valid drivers license
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Active OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Deep network within private sector HUD projects, senior living, and value-add capex renovations.
- Proven track record of closing Design-Build and CMAR/Cost-Plus GMP contract delivery models.
