Senior R&D Lab Technician

The Laboratory Technician supports Research & Development, Production, and Quality Assurance by developing new formulations, performing analytical testing, supporting stability studies, maintaining laboratory equipment, documenting technical work, and assisting manufacturing scale-up. The position is responsible for developing liquid dietary supplements and topical formulations by reverse engineering benchmark products or creating formulations from scratch according to Our Client's manufacturing capabilities, certifications, current equipment limitations, and the guidance of the R&D Supervisor.

· Develop liquid dietary supplements and topical formulations from scratch or by reverse engineering benchmark products.

· Design formulations compatible with Our Client's manufacturing capabilities, certifications, raw materials, and scale-up equipment.

· Support pilot batches, process optimization, troubleshooting, and commercial scale-up under supervisor guidance.

· Perform analytical testing including pH, Brix, specific gravity, viscosity, water activity, appearance, odor, color, fill weight, and other physical evaluations.

· Support in-process analytical testing requested by Production for liquid dietary supplements.

· Support analytical testing of gummies, capsules, tablets, powders, and softgels whenever compatible with available laboratory equipment.

· Conduct and document Real-Time, Accelerated, and Freeze-Thaw stability studies.

· Maintain laboratory notebooks, formulation records, stability reports, SOPs, and technical documentation following cGMP and data integrity requirements.

· Operate, calibrate, verify, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.

· Coordinate with QA and third-party laboratories for microbiology, PET/AET, and analytical assays when required.

· Continuously research ingredients, technologies, scientific literature, and formulation strategies to improve products.

· Maintain an open-minded, curious, and creative approach to research and development.

· Demonstrate a solution-oriented mindset by proposing practical alternatives when technical limitations exist.

· Apply critical thinking and scientific reasoning to solve formulation and manufacturing challenges.

· Communicate technical risks early together with recommended solutions.

· Manage multiple projects efficiently while meeting deadlines.

· Maintain accurate project updates in Monday.com.

· Use Slack for timely operational communication and respond promptly during working hours.

· Use professional email communication for technical discussions, recommendations, and project updates.

· Maintain excellent organization, attention to detail, and laboratory housekeeping.

· Work collaboratively with Production, QA, Procurement, Sales, and Management.

· Support continuous improvement and willingly learn new analytical equipment, testing methods, and formulation technologies.

Minimum 8 years of formulation and laboratory experience. Demonstrated experience developing dietary supplements and topical formulations, supporting manufacturing scale-up, troubleshooting, mentoring junior staff, and independently managing complex R&D projects.
