We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee electronic security projects involving access control, CCTV, surveillance, and related low voltage systems. This role is responsible for managing projects from kickoff through design coordination, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and closeout.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of electronic security systems and experience coordinating projects with general contractors, electrical contractors, customers, vendors, technicians, and other project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
• Manage commercial electronic security projects from kickoff through final closeout
• Oversee access control, CCTV, surveillance, and related security system installations
• Coordinate design, procurement, installation, testing, programming, commissioning, and turnover
• Coordinate with general contractors, electrical contractors, owners, consultants, vendors, technicians, and other trades
• Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, and system designs
• Track project schedules, budgets, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, material procurement, and project documentation
• Monitor field progress and address scheduling, installation, and technical issues
• Work closely with field technicians and installation teams to ensure systems are installed according to design and project requirements
• Coordinate system testing, programming, commissioning, inspections, and customer turnover
• Maintain accurate project records and provide regular updates to internal leadership and customers
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to customer expectations
Qualifications
• 5+ years of project management experience within electronic security, low voltage, or systems integration
• Direct experience managing access control and CCTV projects
• Strong understanding of electronic security system installation and integration
• Experience with systems such as Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, AMAG, S2, Brivo, or similar platforms
• Ability to read and understand security, electrical, architectural, and low voltage drawings
• Experience managing multiple projects, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and closeout documentation
• Comfortable working directly with general contractors, owners, consultants, and other project stakeholders
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to identify problems early and drive them through resolution
What We Are Looking For
We are specifically looking for someone who understands electronic security and can manage the technical, operational, and customer-facing aspects of access control and CCTV projects.
The strongest candidates will have a combination of electronic security project management experience and hands-on understanding of security system installation. You should be comfortable walking a jobsite, understanding what the technicians are doing, reviewing drawings and project documentation, and communicating effectively with both the field and the customer.
Experience managing large, complex commercial security deployments with multiple stakeholders and demanding schedules is highly valued.
