We cater a variety of special events at the Museum, including weddings, corporate events, galas, fundraisers and more. With advance notice, we also provide boxed lunches for groups visiting the Museum.

Join our team at Daily Planet Cafe located inside the North Carolina Museum of Natural Science in downtown Raleigh. As aCaf Attendant, you’ll help create a welcoming experience for museum guests by providing friendly service, maintaining an inviting caf, and helping keep things running smoothly. You’ll interact with visitors of all ages while working in a fun and unique environment surrounded by science, nature, and discovery.
What You'll Do
- Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude
- Take customer orders and process transactions accurately
- Prepare and serve caf food, beverages, and other menu items
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked service areas
- Restock food, beverages, paper goods, and other supplies as needed
- Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Keep tables, counters, equipment, and caf areas clean and presentable
- Answer guest questions and provide helpful, professional service
- Work as part of a team to keep caf operations running efficiently
- Assist with special events, museum programs, and other hospitality needs when needed
- Create a positive experience for guests from the moment they arrive until they leave

- Excited to provide excellent customer service
Previous caf, restaurant, retail, hospitality, or customer service experience is a plus, but we're happy to train the right person!

Compensation starts at $11 per hours plus tips.
