Senior Quality Test Engineer

About the Opportunity

We’re seeking a Senior Engineer – Quality (Reliability & Test) to join a product development team in Foothill Ranch.

You’ll determine how new products should be tested, what could fail, and what is required to prove product performance. You’ll develop test methods and qualification plans, guide laboratory testing, analyze results, investigate failures, and work with R&D and Design to resolve issues and support product release.

What You’ll Do

• Develop test methods, qualification plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria
• Lead product-level qualification and validation
• Partner with R&D and Design to define testing requirements for new products and materials
• Use FMEA, root-cause analysis, and test results to identify failure risks and performance issues
• Guide technicians, review results, and investigate product failures
• Support compliance testing, technical standards, and test equipment/instrumentation
• Manage multiple testing and product-development priorities

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• 5+ years of engineering experience with physical products or components
• Strong mechanical, product, or materials engineering foundation
• Direct experience developing test methods, qualification plans, or product-level validation approaches
• Experience with structured failure analysis, such as FMEA, root-cause analysis, or DOE

Nice to have: Automotive, reliability/validation, durability or impact testing, small-parts manufacturing, DOE/Minitab, FMEA, relevant testing standards, or experience with sporting, consumer, medical, aerospace, or defense products.
