Insight Global is seeking Software Engineer II to support a mission-critical embedded systems program. This opportunity is ideal for engineers with strong C++ development experience, a background in embedded software, and experience building high-performance, multi-threaded applications in real-time environments.
No active clearance is required to start. Candidates must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong C++ programming skills
- Experience with object-oriented design and development
- Experience developing embedded software or firmware
- Experience with multi-threaded or concurrent programming
- Strong understanding of software execution, debugging, and performance optimization
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Experience
- Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as VxWorks, QNX, FreeRTOS, Integrity, or LynxOS
- Embedded software development and troubleshooting on hardware targets
- Networking protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, IPSec, DDS, or SNMP
- Signal processing, control systems, or networking fundamentals
- Previous experience supporting defense, aerospace, DoD, or intelligence community programs
