Summary:
The position of Project Manager serves as the owner of the Portfolio Management Process and Project Management capability, functioning as a Center of Excellence for portfolio, program, and project level initiatives as best practices.

- Manages Projects for both divisions– Medical and Performance Materials
- Planning, designing, implementing and managing projects
- Manages Portfolio Governance & Strategy Alignment
- Own the global product portfolio governance, ensuring all projects align with corporate strategy and regulatory requirements
- Lead Portfolio reviews, updates, and data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
- Develop, implement, and improve standard PMO methodologies, tools, and processes for project execution and portfolio management
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk for multiple projects across manufacturing, R&D, supply chain, engineering, and logistics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, engineering, quality, regulatory, sales, marketing, operations) to deliver projects on time and within constraints
- Escalate issues that threaten portfolio and project success
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks; implement mitigation strategies
- Foster a data-driven, inclusive PM culture and drive continuous improvement in project delivery
- Provide global leadership and influence at all organizational levels
- Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders; facilitate decision-making forums
- Build and develop PM talent within the organization
- Manage CAR Process and facilitate Governance.
- Lead acquisition request reviews, updates, for senior leadership.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for capital acquisition proposals, ensuring they meet strategic, financial, and regulatory criteria at submission.
- Own and oversee the acquisition process from request to close.
- Working closely with CAR leads to ensure purchase orders and work orders are tracked from issuance through completion, and that any delays, gaps, or non-conformances are identified early and escalated appropriately.
- Provide guidance and support to CAR leaders new to the process.
- Manage KPI process in conjunction with HR
- Lead KPI reviews, updates, and data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
- Collect and track KPI reports from departments. Track KPI trends, compare against targets, and highlight deviations.
- Facilitate annual KPI planning in conjunction with Leadership goals and needs.
- Ensure accountability: Make KPIs transparent and linked to team performance to foster ownership and alignment.
- Demonstrate and generated Global Project Management Office (PMO) project management best practices
- Works in partnership with other Departments to broaden Project Management best practices via internal and external training and sharing across Chemence.
- Support optimization of policy, SOPs and tools to support the company’s Project Management Methodology
- Stay updated on Project Management industry’s best practices, techniques and standards, and encourage team members to use them for effective project execution.
Essential Functions:
- Project Portfolio Management – Leads and oversee projects across the Medical and Performance Materials divisions, ensuring successful execution from planning through completion.
- Capital Acquisition Request (CAR) Process Management– Manages and govern the capital acquisition process, ensuring proposals meet strategic, financial, and timeline goal from initiation to closure.
- KPI Program Management - Leads tracking, analysis, and reporting of organizational KPIs to measure performance and support business goals.
- Project Management – Demonstrates and completes training to build on all knowledge areas of project management (scope, timeline, cost, etc.) to drive a project team through the project management phases (IPECC).
- Data Elicitation – Challenges project data related to risk, value, cost, and time to ensure clarity and consistency for execution and decision making.
- Communication – Enables decision-making by communicating analysis in a manner that both fulfills and challenges strategic and financial objectives.
- Stakeholder Management – Effectively communicates with, negotiates with, and influences key project stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and/or Experience Required:
- Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent from four-year college.
- Ten or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Medical Device experience required.
- Experience running various types of programs and projects (R&D, Operations, Capability improvements, Process, M&A, IT, RA, QA, Marketing, etc.).
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Coach and mentor colleagues to foster an environment of learning and growth.
Language Skills:
- English required; Spanish is a plus.

Physical Demands:
- Position requires walking, standing for prolonged periods, occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. May frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

- Non-temperature-controlled warehouse, non-temperature-controlled production floor, temperature-controlled office.
