FAMCO Manufacturing is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support sales growth through proactive outreach, lead generation, account development, and contractor, distributor engagement.

This position will focus on building relationships with contractors, distributors, identifying new sales opportunities, following up with existing accounts, and supporting the field sales team in growing FAMCO's presence across its markets. A regular part of the position's day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting with Customer Service functions, including processing orders, responding to customer inquiries, providing product and order information, and supporting existing accounts.

The ideal candidate is comfortable both proactively selling and developing customer relationships and providing hands-on customer service and order support. This position will work closely with our field sales and Customer Service teams to provide customers with a seamless experience from initial sales contact through order fulfillment.

As FAMCO continues to develop its Inside Sales function, this position will have the opportunity to help shape processes, account strategies, and sales outreach efforts.

This is a base-pay-only position, with no commission or incentive compensation at this time. This is not a remote position and is located onsite at FAMCO’s headquarters in Nampa, Idaho.

  • Conduct outbound calls and emails to contractors, distributors, existing customers, and prospective accounts to generate sales opportunities.
  • Qualify leads and coordinate opportunities with Area Sales Representatives and other account owners.
  • Support follow-up with prospects and customers alongside Area Sales Representatives and other account owners.
  • Follow up on quotes, samples, promotions, marketing campaigns, and other sales opportunities.
  • Support contractor and distributor pull-through efforts by helping generate product awareness, customer engagement, and repeat business.
  • Provide customers with accurate product, pricing, availability, and program information, escalating technical questions when appropriate.
  • Identify potential target accounts and market opportunities in partnership with Sales Area Representatives and leadership.
  • Maintain timely and accurate customer, lead, and sales activity records in the CRM.
  • Provide Customer Service support alongside the Customer Service team, including assisting with order entry, customer inquiries, account questions, and other day-to-day customer needs.

Success in this position means balancing sales growth with excellent customer service. The Inside Sales Representative consistently generates new opportunities and develops contractor & distributor relationships while also being a dependable resource for customers' everyday order and service needs.

The successful employee understands that Inside Sales and Customer Service are both ongoing functions of this position and is comfortable shifting between proactive sales activity and customer support throughout the workday.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of inside sales, account development, sales development, or similar customer-facing sales experience preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing, sheet metal, HVAC, ventilation, building products, contractor or distributor sales is preferred.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and developing relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Strong communication, follow-up, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and identify sales opportunities.
  • Organized and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
  • Experience working with CRM or sales tracking systems preferred.
  • Ability to identify sales opportunities while providing a high level of day-to-day customer support.
  • Ability to learn FAMCO's products, applications, and distribution channels.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
