Responsibilities
- Perform MRI exams using Philips MRI systems, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety; adjust protocols as directed.
- Screen patients for contraindications, obtain consent as needed, and administer IV contrast per protocol; monitor for adverse reactions.
- Properly position and immobilize patients, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and cooperation during scans.
- Document imaging procedures, findings, and necessary information in the Epic electronic health record within required timeframes; maintain privacy and accuracy.
- Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment, adhere to safety guidelines, support basic quality control, and collaborate with the radiology team; able to float between inpatient and outpatient settings as needed.
- No on-call requirements; communicate clearly with team and adapt to unit needs and scheduling changes.
Requirements
- Active MRI licensure via ARRT or ARMRIT; MR advanced licensure required
- BLS certification
- MRI Tech Certification Verification (Equivalency) needed
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience; teaching hospital experience required; prior travel experience preferred
- Epic experience within the past 2 years required
- Philips MRI experience required
- Ability to work in a hospital setting, nights, and to float between inpatient and outpatient locations as needed
