Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Structural Engineer for a contract opportunity supporting architectural and design services projects in Spokane, WA. This role is ideal for a senior structural engineering professional with strong analysis, design, seismic code, and multidisciplinary coordination experience.

As a Structural Engineer, you will be an integral part of a collaborative design team and will contribute to complex structural design work for industrial and building projects. This opportunity offers meaningful technical ownership, exposure to multidisciplinary project teams, and the chance to take on lead or sub-lead responsibilities based on capability and project needs.

You will work closely with structural leads, engineers, designers, drafters, and other disciplines in a supportive setting where initiative, sound judgment, and clear communication are valued.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform structural engineering analysis and design for building and industrial projects with limited supervision.
- Develop design concepts and communicate structural requirements through calculations, design documents, and models.
- Apply US building codes, including wind and seismic provisions, to structural design solutions.
- Coordinate with structural leads, engineers, designers, drafters, and other project disciplines.
- Review and check engineering calculations and contribute to quality control throughout the design process.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to designers, drafters, and less experienced engineers.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay Range: $68 to $75 per hour.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Spokane, WA.
- Candidate home location must be in the USA Northwest Region, including AK, ID, MT, OR, WA, or WY, or Canada.
