Job Description

We are seeking multiple dependable and hardworking individuals to join our manufacturing team as Entry-Level Manufacturing Helpers. This role supports the production of high-quality plastic matting products through material handling, packaging, production support, and basic manufacturing documentation. Ideal candidates are safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lift, move, stack, and position plastic matting products weighing 85-250 pounds with team assistance and proper lifting techniques.
• Roll, wrap, package, and prepare plastic mat products for shipment.
• Assist machine operators with production activities and material flow.
• Count finished goods and raw materials accurately.
• Record production data, downtime, scrap, and other manufacturing information.
• Complete required paperwork and production documentation.
• Transport materials throughout the facility as needed.
• Assist with loading and unloading efforts and housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Help process and regrind plastic scrap into reusable plastic pellets used in the manufacturing process.
• Follow all safety, quality, and operating procedures.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial experience preferred.
• Basic math skills, including counting and simple addition.
• Ability to read and complete production documents.
• Attention to detail and dependability.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift experience is a plus but not required.

Work Environment

Our facility is not climate-controlled, and we are a family-owned business with 25 employees. We share the facility with another company. This opportunity allows you to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Payne, AL.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Fort Payne,AL.
