Must have Qualifications:

Product Analyst / Product Owner Support Experience

    • Writing user stories & acceptance criteria
    • Backlog grooming/prioritization
    • Working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments
    • Partnering with Product Managers/Product Owners

Strong SQL & Data Analytics

    • SQL proficiency
    • KPI development and reporting
    • Ability to translate data into business recommendations
    • Experience measuring product/business outcomes

Data Governance & Data Platform Experience

    • Data governance, data quality, lineage, or metadata management
    • Experience with Snowflake or similar data warehouse platforms
    • BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Sigma

Description

An enterprise organization undergoing large-scale digital and data transformation is seeking a Product Analyst II to partner closely with Product Management and Agile delivery teams. This role is responsible for translating business objectives into actionable product requirements, supporting modernization initiatives, and measuring the effectiveness of product and technology investments.

The Product Analyst II provides data-driven insights, process support, and product analysis to help drive feature delivery, operational efficiency, governance maturity, and risk mitigation across enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations and partner with Product Owners to drive measurable business and operational improvements.
  • Establish post-implementation measurement frameworks to validate business value and adoption of product enhancements.
  • Identify emerging risks, optimization opportunities, and performance gaps, presenting insights and recommendations to business and product leadership.
  • Partner with Product Owners to define and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, and business processes.
  • Participate in backlog grooming, prioritization, and sprint planning activities to ensure a well-defined and delivery-ready backlog.
  • Support Agile delivery teams by validating functionality and ensuring delivered solutions meet defined business requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and end users to gather requirements, document business needs, and prioritize enhancements.
  • Coordinate investigation and resolution of production issues, working cross-functionally with technology and business teams while supporting root cause analysis efforts.
  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of data governance and data management capabilities, measuring improvements in data accessibility, trust, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor data quality, data lineage, and data integrity metrics across enterprise data platforms and modernization initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) that demonstrate progress toward governance, compliance, operational excellence, and risk reduction objectives.
  • Create reporting and monitoring frameworks that measure system reliability, automation effectiveness, and operational resiliency.
  • Support evaluation and selection of third-party technology solutions through data-driven analysis, business case development, and cost-benefit assessments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, with experience writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to define, measure, and communicate KPIs for complex business and technology initiatives.
  • Experience with business intelligence and reporting platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Sigma, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency with SQL, data warehousing concepts, cloud data platforms, and business intelligence analytics.
  • Understanding of data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality best practices.
  • Experience assessing data migration risks and monitoring data integrity during transformation initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex analytical insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience using Agile project management tools such as Jira.
  • Familiarity with Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and iterative product delivery.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $40.86/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
