Our client is a family-owned industrial electrical and automation company that has been serving customers since 1976. They specialize in industrial automation, motor control, power distribution, and custom-engineered control assemblies.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Assembly Tech to join their manufacturing team. This role is a great fit for someone with experience in electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, small parts assembly, manufacturing, or production who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in producing quality products.

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire | Full-Time
Location: Fenton, MO
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Day Shift
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00/hour

Responsibilities of the Assembly Tech:
- Assemble small mechanical and electrical components according to work instructions, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Assemble electrical control panels and industrial equipment
- Install and wire electrical components such as relays, terminal blocks, switches, and other control devices
- Perform mechanical assembly using hand and power tools
- Operate winding equipment to manually wind coils, wire, and other materials as required
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and work orders
- Use measuring devices and testing equipment to verify dimensions and product performance
- Inspect completed assemblies and components to ensure quality and accuracy
- Identify and report product defects, equipment issues, or material shortages
- Troubleshoot assembly issues and make adjustments as needed
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation
- Assist with inventory, material handling, and other production duties as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining a high level of quality
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements of the Assembly Tech:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, production, electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, or winding is a plus
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and work orders
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good hand dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to work with small parts and perform repetitive hand movements
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
