Working Model:Fully onsite
Schedule: Wednesday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM after training
Pay Rate: 30$/hr. On W2
Schedule Note: The role is fully onsite. During the first 7 weeks, contractors must work Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM for New Hire Orientation and Manufacturing Onboarding Technical Training. After training, the contractor moves to the agreed Wednesday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM shift.
Job Description
We are seeking a Quality Control Chemist I to support quality control testing and GMP operations at a biopharmaceutical manufacturing site in Frederick, MD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform testing of raw materials, intermediates, and final products using analytical methods including:
- Flow Cytometry
- ELISA
- qPCR/PCR
- Cell-based bioassays
- Maintain laboratory equipment and perform routine calibration and maintenance.
- Monitor and trend analytical data and perform routine review of test results and documentation.
- Support in-process testing, drug substance, and drug product release activities.
- Provide information supporting generation of Certificates of Analysis (CoAs).
- Assist with OOS investigations, deviations, and root-cause analysis related to analytical procedures.
- Author or revise SOPs, qualification/validation protocols, and reports.
- Ensure laboratory activities comply with established GMP procedures and quality systems.
- Participate in daily/weekly team meetings and continuous improvement activities.
- Work with internal and external resources to maintain the laboratory in an optimal condition.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, OR
- Associate/AA degree with 2+ years of biotechnology or related experience plus Quality Control experience, OR
- High school diploma with 3+ years of biotechnology or related experience plus Quality Control experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of GMP, SOPs, and Quality Control processes.
- Experience with OOS investigations, deviations, and root-cause analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Flow Cytometry, ELISA, PCR/qPCR, and cell-based assays.
- Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11, 210, and 211.
- Experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
