The Concrete Pump Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and scheduling of concrete pumping equipment and personnel. This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of concrete pumping services while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the scheduling and dispatch of concrete pump trucks and operators
- Supervise, train, and evaluate pump operators and support staff
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and compliant with safety regulations
- Monitor job site performance to ensure timely and efficient concrete placement
- Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA and company standards
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and project managers to confirm job requirements and timelines
- Track operational costs, fuel usage, and equipment utilization to optimize efficiency
- Troubleshoot operational issues and respond to emergency service needs
- Maintain accurate records of jobs, maintenance, inspections, and personnel performance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or construction management training preferred
- 3–5+ years of experience in concrete pumping or related construction field
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of concrete pump equipment and maintenance practices
- Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards (OSHA compliance)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physical tasks as needed
- Willingness to travel to job sites and work flexible hours, including early mornings
