Job Title: Industrial Painter

Job Description

This role involves painting sheet metal components used in cabinets and voting booths in an industrial setting. You will prepare all painting materials, follow established procedures, and ensure high-quality finishes on every part you complete.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sheet metal parts for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and performing paint prep to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality.
• Set up, operate, and maintain spray guns and related painting equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Apply industrial paint and coatings to sheet metal components for cabinets and voting booths, ensuring consistent coverage and appearance.
• Work inside a paint booth and follow all process steps to achieve the required finish standards and production timelines.
• Mix, organize, and stage paint and related materials so that all painting necessities are ready for use during the shift.
• Inspect painted parts for defects, rework surfaces as needed, and maintain quality standards throughout the painting process.
• Assist with general labor tasks as needed, such as moving materials, organizing work areas, and supporting other production activities.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, orderly work area in both the paint booth and the general shop floor.

Essential Skills

• Experience with industrial painting, specifically painting metal components.
• Hands-on experience with paint prep, including sanding, cleaning, and surface preparation.
• Ability to operate and control spray guns for industrial painting applications.
• Familiarity with working in or around paint booths in a production environment.
• Capability to perform general labor tasks in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow established painting procedures and quality standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with powder coat processes or equipment is a plus.
• Experience in industrial paint environments, including large-scale or high-volume painting operations.
• Comfort working with sheet metal parts and understanding basic manufacturing workflows.
• Willingness to assist with various tasks across the production floor as needed.

Work Environment

This role is based in a large, open shop floor with a semi climate-controlled environment supported by large fans. You will work in and around a paint booth and industrial painting equipment, handling sheet metal parts and coatings throughout the day. The standard schedule runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, providing a predictable daytime work routine. The setting is industrial and production-focused, with an emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and efficient workflow.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring Hill, TN.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
