Required Skills & Experience

Previous HiLo or forklift-driving experience.

High school diploma or GED.

At least one month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to safely operate industrial equipment.

Ability to obtain and maintain required certification for stand-up and sit-down industrial trucks.

Basic computer skills.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal workplace instructions.

Strong situational awareness and good vision.

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ability to perform frequent twisting throughout the shift.

Flexibility to work up to 12-hour shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays when required.

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a HiLo Driver to join a manufacturing client. This individual will safely operate stand-up and sit-down industrial trucks to transport materials throughout the plant, maintain accurate inventory levels, and ensure products are delivered to the correct locations on time.

The HiLo Driver will load, unload, stack, and organize materials while supplying production employees with the inventory needed to maintain plant operations. This position requires strong safety awareness, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Safely operate gas-powered or electric industrial trucks, including stand-up and sit-down HiLos.

Transport pallets, skids, boxes, products, and other materials to designated areas throughout the plant.

Position forks and lifting equipment correctly to safely move materials.

Load, unload, raise, lower, and stack materials using industrial lifting equipment.

Move inventory between plant locations according to established schedules and production needs.

Monitor inventory on the production floor and supply employees with materials as needed.

Weigh materials and products and record weights on tags, labels, or production schedules.

Load and unload materials from pallets, skids, and lifting devices.

Recharge industrial truck batteries or replace liquefied gas tanks when needed.

Identify and contain suspect or defective materials to prevent further processing.

Participate in required training, audits, and continuous improvement activities.

Follow all applicable safety, environmental, regulatory, and workplace requirements.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Operation of both stand-up and sit-down industrial trucks based on plant needs.

Potential operation of industrial trucks outdoors.

Frequent twisting and material-handling activity.

Requires strong awareness of surrounding employees, equipment, and materials.
