Remote Position – Must Reside in California
Direct Counsel is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to support a well-established solo practitioner on an as-needed, contract basis.
The primary focus of this role will be defending depositions in personal injury matters, with occasional opportunities to take depositions and assist with other litigation-related assignments as needed.
This is an excellent opportunity for a California attorney looking to supplement their current practice or workload with flexible contract work.
Responsibilities
- Primarily defend depositions in personal injury matters
- Occasionally take depositions as needed
- Prepare for depositions by reviewing relevant case materials, discovery, and records
- Provide additional litigation support on an as-needed basis
- Assist with other case-related assignments depending on the needs of the practice
Qualifications
- Active California Bar membership in good standing
- Prior personal injury and/or civil litigation experience
- Experience defending depositions required
- Experience taking depositions preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong litigation, communication, and case-preparation skills
Position Details

- Compensation: Approximately $60-65/hour
