Pay: $22 - $24 per hour
A Day in This Role
You start your shift by gathering your gauges, calipers, and checklists. The first item off the line gets your full attention for a first-article check. Throughout the day, you circulate between workstations, comparing parts to drawings and specs, spotting nonconformances early, and documenting your findings with precision. When something looks off, you pause the process, partner with the production supervisor, and help pinpoint the root cause so the team can correct quickly. You close the day by final-inspecting completed lots, filing accurate reports, and leaving your area organized and safe for the next shift.
What You’ll Do
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections at multiple stages of production.
- Verify products meet specifications, drawings, procedures, and customer requirements.
- Identify, document, and report defects, deviations, and quality concerns.
- Conduct first-piece, in-process (line), and final inspections as needed.
- Use inspection tools and measuring equipment accurately.
- Complete inspection reports, checklists, and quality records with care.
- Communicate issues to production supervisors and quality team members promptly.
- Spot trends in recurring defects and support corrective actions.
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, assembly, or production preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic technical documentation.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a knack for finding defects.
- Solid basic math and measurement skills.
- Comfort using calipers, gauges, and related inspection tools.
- Clear communication and consistent record-keeping.
- Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and do repetitive inspection tasks for extended periods.
- Works well independently and within a team environment.
Preferred
- 1+ year in quality control or manufacturing inspection.
- Familiarity with ISO, GMP, or comparable quality systems.
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings.
- Experience with inspection documentation or a quality management system.
