Support Critical Laboratory Sample Preparation as a Quality Control Inspector! PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a safety-focused and dependable
Quality Control Inspector to support hands-on sample preparation activities in a technical work environment. This role is ideal for someone comfortable using shop tools, following detailed procedures, and maintaining a strong focus on safety and accuracy.
What You'll Do- Prepare samples using equipment and tools including:
- Band saw
- Bolt cutters
- Snips
- Follow established sample preparation procedures and work instructions.
- Use acetone as required during assigned preparation activities.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Follow all required PPE and site safety procedures.
- Travel between nearby work locations as needed.
- Complete required safety and equipment training before performing assigned tasks.
Safety & Training- All required job and site-specific safety training will be provided.
- PPE will be provided for assigned activities.
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training will be provided for designated band saw cleaning activities.
- Safety Data Sheets (SDS), eyewash stations, and emergency showers are available onsite.
- This position will not be responsible for handling, transferring, or disposing of hazardous waste or chemicals beyond the defined use of acetone.
- Equipment maintenance and LOTO activities outside the defined band saw cleaning scope are not part of this role.
Qualifications- Comfortable using basic hand tools and shop equipment.
- Strong commitment to following safety procedures.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions consistently.
- Good attention to detail and reliability.
- Comfortable working independently after training.
- Ability to travel between two nearby work sites as required.
