Role Overview
This is an active, working manager roleyou will spend the majority of your time on the floor alongside the team, directing physical inventory flow, managing receiving and shipments, organizing storage, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
Because our core portfolio features fine wine and spirits, a strong background in wine and spirits knowledge is required to handle proper product care, vintage/label accuracy, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands-On Leadership: Direct, train, and work side-by-side with warehouse staff to maintain safe, accurate, and efficient daily operations.
- Inventory & Quality Control: Oversee receiving, stocking, pick-and-pack, and shipping processes with exceptional precision and minimal shrinkage.
- Specialized Product Handling: Apply industry expertise to maintain proper storage protocols, SKU/vintage organization, and handling standards for wine and spirits.
- Process Optimization: Refine workflows, maintain high safety standards, and keep the floor operating cleanly and efficiently.
- Milestone Execution: Drive team performance to meet and exceed key operational milestones (order accuracy, inventory counts, turnaround speed).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Warehouse Leadership: 3–5+ years of warehouse experience, including proven leadership on the floor.
- Industry Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of wine and spirits (product lines, handling standards, storage parameters, or distribution).
- Physical & Operations Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate standard warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks), and thrive in an active floor environment.
- Systems & Technology: Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory tracking software, and reporting tools.
- Leadership Style: Proactive, organized, and reliable with a true "lead-by-example" work ethic.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $80,000 per year
- Incentive Structure: Additional performance bonuses tied directly to achievable operational milestones
