Fort Wayne Radiology (FWR) is seeking a strategic, experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our accounting team and drive the financial success of our organization. As the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations by providing strategic financial guidance and contributing to the achievement of our business objectives. FWR is an established, independent, physician-owned practice serving vibrant northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio for over 70 years currently comprised of approximately 30 radiologists. In a joint venture with Parkview, we own the area’s state of the art Breast and PET imaging centers.
Job Summary
Under general supervision of the CEO, provides and coordinates the provision of general financial services for the organization, including preparation and monitoring of budgets, maintenance and supervision of general accounting records and staff. Works in conjunction with FWR’s outside accounting firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of financial management including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting and internal controls for Fort Wayne Radiology and our joint venture business units.
- Oversee revenue cycle management operations being performed by a 3rd party billing vendor to ensure Fort Wayne Radiology and joint venture business units are receiving maximum reimbursements while minimizing denials and bad debt.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the organization’s short-term and long-term goals.
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts and budgets to present to the Executive Committee monthly and joint venture Board quarterly.
- Monitor cash flow, financial activities and investments, optimizing working capital and financial liquidity.
- Assist with physician administration which would include but is not limited to buy-ins and buy-outs, tax guidance, analyze physician productivity, perform shift analyses and determining physician shift rates.
- Collaborate with business unit managers to develop budgets, support strategic initiatives and provide financial insights and guidance to drive business performance.
- Conduct routine financial analysis to assess the financial performance of the organization and identify areas of improvement.
- Work with CEO in developing, reviewing and managing employment, hospital, and managed care contracts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, laws, regulations and company policies, liaise with external accounting firm for annual audits.
- Provide and communicate supporting educational information on financial topics to physicians and employees. (HSA, Federal and state taxes, etc.)

Experience
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required
- CPA Certification or Master’s Degree (Preferred): MBA or a Master’s in Finance, Accounting, or Healthcare Administration
- Experience in financial roles, including previous leadership roles such as Finance Manager or Controller, minimum 5 years
- Experience working in a medical office, hospital, or healthcare setting, with a deep understanding of healthcare finance, regulations, and billing practices, preferred
- Proven experience in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA compliance
- Expertise in preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing cash flow, and overseeing financial audits
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and trends to make informed decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Familiarity with accounting software, financial modeling tools, and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to assess and manage financial risks within the healthcare environment
- Strong attention to detail, with an ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to adapt to the rapidly changing healthcare landscape and regulations
