What you'll do

• Plan, supervise, and schedule complex tax engagements from start to finish, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.

• Perform detailed technical reviews of complex returns, workpapers, and research memos across a diverse client portfolio ranging from closely held businesses to public corporations.

• Own key client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor while driving client retention and expansion.

• Manage engagement economics, including billing, budgeting, and production goals.

• Mentor and develop staff and senior associates through real-time feedback and technical leadership.

• Identify and pursue business development opportunities, contributing to consulting and specialized project work.

• Enforce firm-wide quality control policies and professional standards across all deliverables.

What you need

• 10+ years of public accounting experience with a strong tax focus.

• Active CPA license.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (BSBA) or equivalent.

• Hands-on proficiency with CCH ProSystem fx Tax and Microsoft Office.

• Demonstrated track record of managing a client portfolio, budgets, billing, and deadlines across multiple simultaneous engagements.

Nice to have

• Client advisory or write-up experience using QuickBooks.

• Experience serving publicly held or complex multi-entity corporate clients.

• Proven track record in practice development or niche advisory leadership.

• Strong written communication skills for client memos and technical reports.

• Base salary: $130,000-$165,000 per year depending on experience.
