At REMIX the Rink Host is the literal heartbeat. This is the department that keeps everything flowing at all times. If you have ever been to REMIX, you have definitely interacted with the Rink Hosts. They check guests in, take them to their tables and hand out the skates from the window. They are also on the rink with pink vests, watching to make sure everyone stays safe and occasionally holding a Limbo Stick for a while!
When the bar gets busy, Rink Hosts assist by clearing tables, running food and serving concessions!
Rink Hosts are responsible for a variety of chores each day/week. There is a certification program for each position and major task in the rink. In addition, all Rink Hosts are trained on skate inspection and will be certified on skate maintenance.

- Podium (Front Desk Check In & Seating)
- Cubby (Skate and Equipment help)
- Maintenance (Inspecting/Maintaining Equipment)
- Rink Guard (Monitoring safety on rink)
- Entertainment (Games/Dances)
- General (cleaning, stocking, side work)
- Party Assisting (Decorating, Serving, Cleaning)

Cleaning Requirements
At REMIX, all job titles must be proficient in everyday cleaning tasks. A RINK HOST is expected to
- Maintain bathrooms throughout day
- Replace bags in trash barrels
- Restock cleaning supplies
- Clean up bodily fluids safely
- Dusting all surfaces
- Following checklists
- Lift, move, reposition furniture to ensure cleanliness
- Scrub-clean various surfaces
- Have work be inspected routinely for optimal results
- Vacuum large areas
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to be on feet continuously during shift
- Ability to lift 40lbs consistently
- Ability to walk or skate for 45 minutes
- Ability to work on hands and knees
- Ability to speak clearly and confidently
- Ability to climb ladders
Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to pass a background check with no concerns
- Reference check(s)
