Applications Engineer

Work Arrangement: In-Office, Hamel, Minnesota The Applications Engineer develops and supports electric linear motion product sales by providing technical sales and application support related to the selection, use, installation, and troubleshooting of Tolomatic motion products, including electric actuators, motors, and drives. This role partners closely with customers, distributors, sales personnel, and internal teams to deliver application solutions that meet customer requirements and drive business growth. The Applications Engineer combines technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and strong communication skills to ensure successful product implementation and customer satisfaction.

• Provide technical sales and application support for Tolomatic electric linear motion products.
• Assist customers, distributors, and sales personnel with product selection, sizing, installation, and troubleshooting of electric actuators, motors, and drives.
• Perform engineering calculations related to motion dynamics, system requirements, and application performance.
• Recommend product solutions based on customer application requirements and operating conditions.
• Deliver product training, technical presentations, and application guidance to customers, distributors, and internal teams.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Service to support customer success and business objectives.
• Maintain current knowledge of Tolomatic products, motion control technologies, and industry trends.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience, product application support, and internal processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Functional knowledge of electrical controls, motors, drives, and motion control systems.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and application requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to perform engineering calculations and technical evaluations.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and engineering-related software tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
