RapidFire Rentals is looking for a CDL Driver to join our team!
Duties & Responsibilities- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks and trailers to deliver and pick up heavy construction equipment and rental units.
- Load, secure, and unload heavy equipment (e.g., skid steers, mini-excavators, compactors) safely at customer job sites.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers.
- Maintain delivery documentation and ensure accurate shipment paperwork.
- Follow DOT safety and federal/state transportation regulations.
Qualifications- Valid CDL Class A license.
- Clean driving record, ability to pass background check, drug screen, and DOT physical.
- Experience hauling construction or heavy equipment preferred.
- Ability to lift up to ~75 lbs and assist with rigging loads when needed.
- experience with detach trailer is preferred but will train the right candidate.
- knowledge of rental equipment operation is also preferred, driver will be responsible to load and unload trailer.
Responsibilities- Keeping control of electronic logs
- Safely securing loads and delivering loads to job locations
- Obeying and following all traffic laws.
- Reporting defects, accidents, and violations
- Performing daily maintenance of truck
- Communicating and coordinating with dispatcher
Pay will be determined by experience.
