Machine Operator

In this role, you'll operate production equipment, perform quality checks, work from blueprints, and contribute to the production of high-quality products while working alongside a dedicated team focused on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

• Operate production machinery used to manufacture seating and related components.
• Monitor machine performance to ensure product quality, efficiency, and compliance with production specifications.
• Perform machine adjustments, setups, and changeovers for various production runs.
• Read and use tape measures and other measuring instruments to verify part dimensions.
• Interpret blueprints and production drawings to ensure accurate manufacturing.
• Handle sheet metal and other materials used in the production process.
• Identify and report mechanical issues, equipment concerns, or safety hazards.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and routine equipment upkeep.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and productivity.

• Minimum 1 year of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
• Experience interpreting basic blueprints and production drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work in a hands-on production environment and perform physical job duties.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

• Experience working with sheet metal manufacturing equipment.
• Prior experience with production machine setups and changeovers.
• Manufacturing experience in a high-volume production environment.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role within a facility that produces seating and related components. Operators work closely with production equipment, sheet metal materials, and fellow team members to meet production goals safely and efficiently.

First Shift

• Start times may vary between 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM
• Full-time hours
• Overtime opportunities may be available based on production needs

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Altamont, IL.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
