Day-to-Day Responsibilities

The person in this role will be the sole "boots on the ground" IT support for the new facility in Columbus, acting as a "Jack of all trades." Key responsibilities include:

End-User & Desktop Support: Acting as the main point of contact for all day-to-day support issues for end users.

Infrastructure Management:

Designing the network, setting up security cameras, and provisioning internet circuits.

During the construction phase, responsibilities include designing access point layouts, running fiber, and getting all equipment racked, stacked, and turned on.

The role is responsible for the facility's network "top to bottom," including managing vendor relationships.

This includes working with and providing remote support for various vendors, some of whom may be in other countries.

Communication and Collaboration:

Working closely with on-site management and supervisors.

Coordinating with the central IT team for issues that are out of scope, such as firewall management and application development support.

Process and Compliance:

Following all company procedures for cybersecurity, audit processes, and change management.

Technology Stack:

The company is an all-Fortinet shop (firewalls, switches, access points).

They are currently a VMWare shop.

The company uses in-house applications written by their own development team.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, MS.

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Columbus,MS.
