Performance Quality Coach

Mark Jacobson Toyota is looking for a part-time Sales Development Coach to help develop the next generation of sales professionals on our team.

This is not a traditional sales management position. We are looking for a hands-on mentor and coach who enjoys helping people become more confident, professional, disciplined, and successful.

You'll work primarily with newer Sales Associates during their first months with our company, helping them develop the habits and skills that create an exceptional customer experience.

Schedule: Part-time, approximately 15–25 hours per week. Schedule will be structured around the needs of the sales team.

• Meet regularly one-on-one and in small groups with newer Sales Associates

• Coach sales, hospitality, professionalism, communication, appearance, and customer interaction

• Help associates understand and consistently follow our sales and customer experience processes

• Review customer feedback and CSI results and turn them into coaching opportunities

• Role-play real customer situations and conversations

• Observe associates on the sales floor and provide immediate, practical feedback

• Help associates improve follow-up, organization, preparation, and daily habits

• Lead discussions around selected books and articles on culture, hospitality, leadership, and personal development

• Reinforce our company's values, expectations, and culture

• Identify where an associate is struggling and develop a practical plan for improvement

• Partner with sales leadership to help newer associates successfully transition into productive, long-term members of our team

The right person doesn't necessarily need to be a career automotive trainer.

You may have a background in automotive retail, hospitality, luxury retail, leadership development, training, coaching, or another customer-focused business.

More importantly, you should be:

• An excellent communicator and listener

• Professional and polished

• Positive but willing to give candid feedback

• Comfortable coaching people with different personalities and experience levels

• Passionate about hospitality and creating exceptional customer experiences

• Organized and consistent

• Someone who enjoys seeing other people develop and succeed

• Able to teach through conversation, observation, role-playing, and real-world examples

This could be an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader who wants to continue developing people without the schedule or responsibilities of a full-time management position.
