Requirements for Assistant Manager position
- Strong Barista and cooking experience.
- Must be willing and able to work a rotating schedule, that could include opening or closing the Caf, and including daytime, evenings, or weekends up to 40 - 50 hours per week.
- Must have a strong record of achievement in the food service industry.
- Manages and delegates daily functions of the caf including prepping product, cooking food and blending smoothies, serving customers, and completing daily and weekly cleaning duties.
- Responsible for sustaining daily sales volumes while identifying local marketing opportunities to actively increase restaurant revenue
- Leads and coaches Shift Leaders and staff during each shift to ensure brand standards are upheld.
- Manages the brand experience, including hospitality, quality control, and speed of service.
- Ensures all safety and security policies are being followed as set by the brand.
- Monitors sales growth and cost control of the store against the budgeted expectation and historical performance to maximize profitability.
- Ensures equipment is operable to execute brand standards.
- Drives servsafe compliance and proper food handling procedures.
- Performs any additional tasks necessary to run the Cafe.
- Helps to recruit, interview, hire, and train new Crew Members to ensure the caf is staffed at the appropriate level
- A valid Food Safety Management Certification is REQUIRED
- Must be able to learn and take turns opening & closing the cafe.
- Must be able to take turns working evening shifts, which may include taking turns working weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday & Sundays)
- MUST be able to pass a background check.
- MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE and reliable transportation
- Must live close to our Cafe, with less than a 35 minute commute.
- Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a VERY fast-paced work environment
- Willingness and ability to continuously stand, clean and walk throughout the duration of each shift.
- Willingness and ability to bend, lift, climb a three step ladder, and carrying up to 40 pounds to perform duties like stocking, refilling ice, or taking out trash
