Responsibilities:
The CNC Machinist / Programmer is responsible for manufacturing precision metal components using CNC machining equipment and inspection tools. This position requires the ability to interpret technical drawings, set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, verify part dimensions throughout production, and maintain consistent quality standards.
- Program, set up, operate, and monitor CNC lathes and milling machines with Fanuc controls.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, specifications, and CNC programs.
- Produce precision-machined parts according to manufacturing requirements and quality specifications.
- Inspect parts during the machining process using appropriate measuring and inspection equipment to confirm dimensional accuracy.
- Select the proper cutting tools, fixtures, materials, and workholding methods for each job.
- Make machine adjustments and troubleshoot issues related to tooling, programs, setups, or part quality.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area in accordance with shop safety procedures.
- Follow established production, quality, and safety standards at all times.

Schedule/Shift Details: First Shift
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in engineering, manufacturing technology, mechanical engineering technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of five years of CNC programming and machine operation experience.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills.
- Experience machining a variety of metals, including steel, stainless steel, bronze, and cast materials.
- At least five years of experience using precision metrology and inspection tools in a manufacturing or related industrial environment.
- Experience with Mazak CNC equipment is preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education, technical training, and relevant hands-on experience may be considered when demonstrated competency is evident.
- Ability to read, understand, and work with CNC programs, including G-code and M-code.
- Working knowledge of CNC machining setup, tooling selection, workholding, and production processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing specifications.
- Proficiency in shop mathematics, including geometry, measurements, decimals, fractions, and unit conversions.
- Skilled in the use of calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, and other precision measuring devices.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD software.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify and resolve machining, tooling, setup, and quality issues.
- Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a production environment.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Regular bending, reaching, lifting, and movement throughout the shop floor.
- Ability to safely handle materials, tooling, and machined components.
- Valid driver’s license required.
