Activities Assistant & Driver

Langdon Place of Exeter is currently seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Activities Assistant who will also serve as a Bus Driver for our 14-passenger mini bus (no CDL required).

This is a wonderful opportunity to enrich the lives of our residents through engaging daily activities and safe transportation to community outings.

Schedule:

• Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30 A.M - 5:00 P.M

• Every other weekend is required

• 32 hours per week schedule is negotiable but Tue/Thur EOW is required.

Key Responsibilities:
Activities Assistant:

• Plan and lead recreational and therapeutic activities for residents

• Facilitate group programs, one-on-one visits, games, crafts, music, and social events

• Encourage resident participation and engagement

• Document attendance and resident feedback using a tablet

• Collaborate with staff to align activities with residents' care plans

Bus Driver:

• Safely operate a 14-passenger minibus to transport residents to scheduled outings and appointments

• Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle

• Conduct basic vehicle checks and report maintenance needs

• Provide a friendly and comfortable experience during transportation

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an activities or recreation role preferred, especially in senior care

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Comfortable operating a minibus (CDL not required)

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Basic computer skills required to document on a tablet

• Positive, compassionate, and creative mindset

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant training or certifications a plus

Eligible full-time employees may elect Modified Compensation calculated at 10-20% of the base rate in lieu of select benefits.
