Help build the sales foundation for a growing power-services company. The Opportunity PGDS is looking for a proven Business Development Manager who knows how to find opportunities, build relationships, and close business. This is a hands-on growth role for someone who is comfortable creating opportunities instead of waiting for them. You will help establish the foundation of our sales function while developing new business and growing existing customer relationships across the power-services market.
What You Will Do · Prospect, develop, and close new business across utilities, power generation, EPCs, data centers, industrial facilities, renewable energy, municipalities, contractors, engineering firms, and other appropriate markets.
· Build relationships with decision-makers and serve as the customer relationship owner from initial engagement through ongoing account growth.
· Create opportunities through direct outreach, referrals, networking, industry events, customer relationships, and marketing-generated leads.
· Build and manage a qualified pipeline, maintain reliable CRM data, and provide credible forecasts and next steps.
· Work with PGDS technical and operational teams to develop scopes, pricing, proposals, presentations, and solutions that accurately reflect our capabilities.
· Represent PGDS at customer meetings, conferences, trade events, networking functions, and other relationship-building opportunities.
· Help establish practical sales processes, account strategies, and reporting that can scale as PGDS grows.
What We Are Looking For · 5+ years of successful business development, technical sales, account management, or related B2B sales experience with a proven record of generating and closing business.
· Power, utility, electrical, industrial, engineering, construction, field-service, or technical-services experience preferred. Strong transferable B2B technical sales experience will be considered.
· Technical understanding of power systems, substations, testing, commissioning, protection and controls is a plus, not a requirement. PGDS has technical experts to support deeper technical conversations.
· Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
· Comfort working independently, moving quickly, following through, and taking ownership of results.
· CRM/pipeline management experience and the discipline to keep opportunity information accurate and current.
· Bachelor's degree welcomed; equivalent relevant experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
· Must reside in the Atlanta Metro area and be willing to travel up to 75%.
What Success Looks Like You create a strong pipeline, win profitable work, open new accounts and markets, grow existing relationships, and help PGDS move closer to its aggressive growth goals. You know when to lead the conversation yourself and when to bring in technical or operational support to help win the right work.
