Electrical Design Engineer | Clearwater, FL
Salary: $115,000–$145,000/year DOE | Temp-to-Hire
We're seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design and develop AC motor controls, soft starters, and motor protection products. This role leads electrical design projects from concept through production while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
Responsibilities
Design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.
Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
Develop, test, and validate new and customized products.
Ensure designs comply with UL, NEC, NFPA, and IEC standards.
Support prototype testing, product launches, and engineering changes.
Work with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
3–5 years of experience designing low- or medium-voltage motor control systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical (SolidWorks is a plus).
Experience creating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
Knowledge of UL508A, NFPA 79, NEC, and IEC standards.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
