Job Summary
Seeking an Operator I to support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, including blending, granulation, equipment setup/operation, batch processing, cleaning, and in-process testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manufacturing equipment according to established procedures.
- Perform blending, granulation, and related manufacturing processes.
- Follow SOPs, batch records, and cGMP requirements.
- Complete and maintain batch records, equipment logbooks, and manufacturing documentation.
- Perform batch record reconciliation and verify calculations, labels, and documentation.
- Monitor manufacturing processes, equipment, and product quality.
- Perform in-process testing and basic equipment/process troubleshooting.
- Clean and maintain processing rooms and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with previous and incoming shift operators and other personnel.
- Report process or equipment issues to the supervisor.
- Suggest process/method improvements when appropriate.
- Follow all company, quality, regulatory, and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience required/preferred.
- Experience with blending materials and granulation strongly preferred.
- Manufacturing experience with the ability to learn and perform multiple processes after training.
- Stable employment history; 1+ year in recent position(s) preferred.
- Reliable attendance and dependability.
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic math skills.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed, with overtime varying from week to week.
- Knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and other applicable regulatory requirements preferred.
- Ability to follow safety rules, SOPs, and batch record instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and climb.
- Ability to lift/move at least 35 lbs.
- Comfortable climbing ladders or using lifts up to 15 feet, approximately 2–3 times per week for cleaning and setup.
- Comfortable rolling pallets weighing up to approximately 75 lbs using lifters.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise.
- May require respirator use and pulmonary function testing/respirator qualification.
