Position Overview

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to design embedded electronic hardware for our aerospace products. You will take designs from customer requirements through schematic design, verification, qualification, and production support. This role suits someone who likes hands-on circuit design, enjoys solving hard problems, and wants to see their work fly in a high-reliability, FAA-regulated environment.

Responsibilities

· Design embedded electronics for aerospace products, including microcontroller-based circuits, sensor and data acquisition interfaces, and monitoring circuitry.

· Define hardware architecture and translate customer and system requirements into hardware requirements and designs.

· Select and derate components and complete detailed designs for high-reliability products operating in severe environments.

· Perform reliability analysis and coordinate reliability testing.

· Design built-in-test and fault monitoring for control system inputs and outputs and other embedded applications.

· Write or support test software and custom test equipment used for design verification, qualification, and manufacturing.

· Develop test and operating procedures, and create and maintain schematics, design documentation, and technical reports.

· Troubleshoot hardware and system-level issues through development and production.

· Work with software, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver products that meet specifications cost-effectively.

· Contribute to technical proposals, design reviews, and customer discussions.

Required Qualifications

· BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

· 2+ years of circuit design experience on embedded systems.

· Hands-on experience with microcontroller-based hardware and analog and digital circuit design.

· Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and clear technical documentation.

· Able to work independently, manage your own projects and schedule, and apply sound engineering judgment.

· Comfortable working across departments and in a highly regulated environment.

· Must be a U.S. Person as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 22 CFR 120-130, due to U.S. State Department restrictions on access to technology.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with brushless DC (BLDC) motors or motor control electronics.

· Aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability electronics experience.

· Experience in FAA-regulated product development.

· Familiarity with signal integrity and hazardous material considerations in component selection.

· Experience with qualification testing and building custom test equipment.

Job Details

· Location: 100% on-site in Eden Prairie, MN. Candidates must live within commuting distance or relocate before starting.

· Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday.

· Visa sponsorship is not available.

Pay: $100,000 to $130,000 per year, depending on experience
