Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to support and strengthen a complex IT environment in Parma, Ohio. This long-term contract position will focus on endpoint management, advanced technical support, systems administration, and process improvement across a distributed organization. The role offers the opportunity to enhance stability, streamline day-to-day operations, and build practical tools that improve efficiency for internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver advanced technical support for escalated Tier 2 and Tier 3 issues, resolving system, endpoint, and account-related problems across the organization.

• Administer and optimize endpoint management practices for a large multi-location environment, helping maintain consistent configurations and reduce device drift.

• Create, update, and refine automation scripts using tools such as PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript to improve operational workflows and reduce manual effort.

• Manage imaging, operating system setup, and endpoint configuration standards to support reliable device deployment and ongoing maintenance.

• Partner with IT team members across infrastructure, support, and web-facing environments to address system needs and improve service delivery.

• Maintain and enhance directory and messaging platforms, including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, Citrix technologies, and Microsoft Exchange.

• Use ticketing and endpoint platforms such as Freshservice, NinjaOne, Intune, and related tools to monitor issues, execute tasks, and support large-scale device administration.

• Produce clear technical documentation and contribute to training resources that help standardize support practices and strengthen internal knowledge sharing.

• Identify opportunities for workflow automation and process improvement, including enhancements to reporting, scripting integrations, and operational playbooks

• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise systems engineering functions within a Microsoft-based environment.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, Citrix technologies, and Microsoft Exchange.
• Proven background in endpoint administration for large user populations and geographically distributed device environments.
• Experience handling escalated support issues at the Tier 2 and Tier 3 level with a methodical troubleshooting approach.
• Ability to develop or modify scripts using PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages to support automation and internal tooling.
• Familiarity with endpoint and service management platforms such as NinjaOne, Intune, and Freshservice.
• Understanding of hybrid-hosted environments and the operational considerations involved in supporting them.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to document procedures clearly and collaborate effectively with technical teams.
