RN Staff Development Coordinator – Skilled Nursing

Bellway Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) Staff Development Coordinator to join our skilled nursing team in Selma, Alabama. This position plays an important role in supporting the education, training, competency, and ongoing professional development of our nursing staff while promoting high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.

RN Staff Development Coordinator Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama

• Skilled nursing or long-term care experience required

• Experience in staff education, training, or nursing leadership preferred

• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements

• Knowledge of the survey process and survey readiness

• Strong clinical assessment and nursing skills

• Excellent communication, teaching, and presentation skills

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through

• Current CPR certification, or ability to obtain as required

RN Staff Development Coordinator Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead staff education and training programs

• Conduct new hire orientation and clinical onboarding for nursing staff

• Provide ongoing in-services and competency-based training

• Support clinical skill development and performance improvement initiatives

• Identify educational needs and develop appropriate training programs

• Ensure compliance with state and federal training requirements

• Assist nursing leadership with survey readiness and regulatory preparation

• Track and maintain employee education records, competencies, and certifications

• Monitor required training to ensure timely completion

• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and other nursing leadership to identify training needs

• Provide coaching, education, and support to nursing staff

• Promote clinical best practices, quality resident care, and regulatory compliance
