Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to patients while working closely with physicians and other members of the healthcare team. The RN is responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient conditions, and documenting care accurately.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs and identify changes in condition.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, treatments, and other therapies as ordered.
- Monitor vital signs, patient status, and response to treatment.
- Communicate significant changes in patient condition to physicians and appropriate healthcare team members.
- Perform nursing procedures within scope of practice and hospital policies.
- Assist physicians and other providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding medications, treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
- Coordinate patient care with physicians, nursing staff, ancillary departments, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain patient safety and follow infection prevention and control procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
- Follow hospital policies, nursing standards, and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and continuing professional development.
- Maintain required certifications and clinical competencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by nursing leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple patient needs and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EHR/EMR).
- Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Required Certifications
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Additional certifications may be required based on the assigned department or area of practice.
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required
- BSN Preferred
