Job Description

This position requires installing, inspecting, and repairing mechanical equipment. You will be responsible for performing mechanical maintenance tasks, primarily focused on mechanical repairs at various factory sites.

Responsibilities

• Report to the home office and meet with the manager to discuss daily tasks.
• Drive a company truck to the plant, often traveling with another team member.
• Perform mechanical maintenance on-site, including work on furnaces, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, chain replacements, and conveyor systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Install industrial machinery and mechanical equipment using layouts.
• Utilize hand and power tools for maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot machinery to identify and resolve issues.
• Fabricate parts using MIG or stick welding techniques.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Mechanical Maintenance role.
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprint and schematic readings.
• Welding and fabrication skills, including MIG and Stick welding.
• Possession of basic hand tools.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in electrical maintenance is beneficial.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation.

This is a Permanent position based out of Jackson, MI.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
