What You’ll Be Doing
As a Part-Time Delivery Driver, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our delicious custom cakes and baked goods reach our customers safely and on time. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
Delivery Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and pick up orders in-store for delivery.
- Safely drive a company vehicle to deliver products to local residential, commercial addresses, and our Dayton location.
- Ensure timely, courteous, and accurate deliveries while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Perform daily pre/post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through friendly and polite interactions.
In-Store Support:
- Assist with in-store tasks such as organizing inventory or packing orders when not on deliveries.
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.
Loading & Unloading:
- Load items into the vehicle, secure them for safe transport, and unload them at the drop-off site with care.
Customer Interaction:
- Greet customers warmly, collect required signatures or payments, and answer basic questions.
Record Keeping & Vehicle Care:
- Track completed deliveries, mileage, and fuel costs.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and report any mechanical issues promptly.
What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you’ll need to meet the following qualifications:
- Experience: At least 1 year of previous delivery driving experience and 1 year in customer service or a related field preferred.
- License: Unrestricted Standard Operator’s License required.
- Driving Record: Must have a clean driving record with no drug or alcohol offenses in the last 5 years.
- Age Requirement: Minimum of 21 years old (required).
- Pre-Employment Checks: Ability to successfully pass a drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report (MVR).
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, safe driving habits, and excellent customer service skills.
