We are seeking a Network Engineer to support a complex enterprise networking environment and assist with the daily operations, maintenance, and modernization of critical infrastructure. This role is responsible for supporting routing, switching, firewall administration, load balancing technologies, network performance monitoring, and infrastructure upgrade initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting enterprise network environments and be comfortable balancing operational responsibilities with project-based infrastructure improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Cisco-based routing and switching infrastructure
• Administer firewall and network security changes
• Support load balancing technologies and network services
• Troubleshoot network incidents and provide advanced escalation support
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects
• Monitor network performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Maintain network documentation and network diagrams
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues
• Assist with disaster recovery planning and testing
• Support enterprise LAN/WAN environments

Required Skills and ExperienceCisco Networking

• Experience supporting enterprise Cisco environments
• Knowledge of routing, switching, and LAN/WAN operations
• Ability to manage day-to-day network infrastructure activities

Network Operations

• Experience supporting complex enterprise network environments
• Background in operational support, incident resolution, performance monitoring, and maintenance activities

Firewall Administration

• Experience implementing and supporting firewall changes
• Understanding of network security best practices

Load Balancing

• Experience supporting and administering load balancing technologies
• Troubleshooting and configuration management experience

Infrastructure Support

• Experience providing advanced escalation support
• Participation in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and network improvement initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Palo Alto Firewalls
• F5 Load Balancers
• Azure Networking
• VMware
• Windows Server Administration
• Linux Administration
• SAN storage experience
• Disaster recovery planning experience
• Telecommunications experience
• Experience within financial services or credit union environments
• CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certifications

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90480.00 - $117000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
