Key Responsibilities
- Manage the North American collections function for commercial equipment finance portfolios across the U.S. and Canada.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify early warning indicators of customer deterioration.
- Develop proactive collection strategies that maximize recoveries while preserving valuable customer relationships whenever possible.
- Prioritize collection efforts based on risk, exposure, collateral quality, and probability of recovery.
- Continuously improve collection effectiveness through data-driven portfolio segmentation and analytics.
- Lead negotiations involving: Payment arrangements, Loan restructurings, Deferrals, Settlement agreements,Forbearance solutions
- Evaluate workout alternatives balancing customer viability, collateral preservation, legal enforceability, and financial impact.
- Manage escalated customer situations with professionalism and sound business judgment.
- Coordinate repossessions, voluntary surrenders, remarketing activities, and deficiency recovery efforts.
- Partner with asset management and remarketing teams to maximize collateral recovery values.
- Monitor recovery performance and recommend strategies to reduce net credit losses.
- Ensure compliance with:Company policies, Internal controls, Collection regulations, U.S. and Canadian legal requirements
- Monitor Regulatory Default and Forbearance classifications.
- Support internal and external audits related to portfolio management and collections.
- Reporting & Portfolio Analytics
- Prepare and present regular portfolio reporting
- Develop dashboards and performance metrics to support data-driven decision making.
- Drive continuous process improvements and automation initiatives that improve customer experience while strengthening portfolio controls.

Qualifications
Required
•Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related discipline.
•5+ years of experience in commercial collections, equipment finance, banking, leasing, or commercial lending.
•Experience managing commercial customer workout situations.
•Strong understanding of commercial finance documentation and secured lending.
•Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian collection practices and regulatory environments.
•Excellent analytical and financial statement interpretation skills.
•Strong negotiation and conflict resolution capabilities.
•Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
•Experience within equipment finance, leasing, asset-based lending, or commercial banking.
•Knowledge of construction, transportation, industrial, manufacturing or capital equipment industries.
•Experience with collateral recovery and remarketing.
•Advanced Excel, Power BI, or portfolio analytics experience.
