Assembler

This full-time manufacturing role is based in Tennessee and offers the opportunity to work as an Assembly Associate in a clean, partially climate-controlled machine shop. You will assemble components and finished products, perform quality checks, and help ensure that all items meet established specifications and safety standards. This position is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with strong manual dexterity who enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Assemble components, sub-assemblies, and final products by following established blueprints, technical drawings, and written work instructions.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and automated manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently to complete assembly tasks.
• Perform regular quality checks on parts and finished products to verify they meet specifications and to identify defects or inconsistencies.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily and weekly production goals while communicating any equipment or quality issues to supervisors promptly.
• Package finished goods and prepare them for shipment when needed, ensuring products are properly labeled and secured.
• Participate in required training, including initial training on first shift for 24 weeks when assigned to second shift.
• Support different areas of the facility as needed, providing assistance where hand and power tool skills are required.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or assembly environment preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, including shifts up to 10 hours.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and consistently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise assembly work.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Reliable transportation and a strong record of dependable attendance.
• Commitment to following all safety guidelines, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment while meeting quality and output expectations.

• Open to entry-level candidates with prior experience using hand and power tools on personal projects such as fixing cars or completing home repairs.
• Prior assembly line experience is a plus.
• Willingness to assist in different areas of the facility as operational needs require.
• Ability to learn and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and detailed work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality, accurate work.
• Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills to coordinate with coworkers and supervisors.

The role is based in a clean machine shop that is partially climate controlled, providing a comfortable and orderly workspace. Team members work with hand tools, power tools, and automated manufacturing equipment while adhering to strict safety protocols and using appropriate PPE. The environment is fast-paced and production-focused, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency. Available schedules include a first shift, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and a second shift, Monday through Thursday from 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM, featuring a four-day workweek with 10-hour shifts. Second-shift employees train on first shift for 24 weeks before transitioning to their regular schedule. Weekly pay is provided, and employees have access to full health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oak Ridge, TN.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
